On 11 March 2026, in the Vaal Reefs area, 798 cattle were successfully vaccinated against Foot-and-Mouth Disease. Vleissentraal Klerksdorp joined hands with AFASA (African Farmers' Association of South Africa), the Department of Agriculture North West, and the State Veterinarian to assist communal farmers with vaccinating cattle against Foot-and-Mouth Disease. The vaccination programme continues tomorrow as the team moves to the next area to assist more farmers. Our cattle and our farmers matter to us. By working together, we can protect livestock and strengthen the future of agriculture.
